Orthopaedic massage sessions start out with a consultation, where the therapist and the patient will discuss the specific problems. The therapist will ask questions about the problems that the patient is experiencing, placing a focus on the musculoskeletal system.

A postural assessment and a series of functional tests will be performed to assess the injury and determine the treatment. It is recommended that clients bring sports shorts to change into and a sports bra for female clients.

. A tailored treatment strategy is then created based on the assessment and is discussed prior to treatment.

A range of soft tissue techniques such as:

Myofascial Massage, Soft Tissue Release, trigger point therapy, and Muscle Energy Technique are applied always paying attention to patient level of comfort.

Custom-designed self-care stretching and strengthening techniques will then be advised for their use at home to keep your body in balance and prevent further injuries.
